Meet Dr. Cain
Dr. Alex Cain is from Baltimore, Maryland and earned his undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from James Madison University. After college, he was granted the Intramural Research Training Awardee position at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and published several articles in respected scientific journals.
After his research training, Dr. Cain enrolled at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry; the first dental school in the United States, where he graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). In his fourth year, he completed the Oral Surgery Clerkship at University of Maryland, which focused on complex extractions and management of medically complex patients.
Upon graduation, Dr. Cain matched at Denver Health Hospital to complete postgraduate residency, where he focused on serving vulnerable medical populations and treating dental trauma and infections.
Dr. Cain has spent his career serving patients in need and will continue to advocate for his patient’s oral health and smiles. While serving in his advanced education, Dr. Cain received a Compassionate Care Award for his dedication to the special health care needs population of the greater Denver area. As an active member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, Dr. Cain is passionate about serving his community.
After moving to Colorado, the mountains have become his home, where he spends his time with his dog, Bruno, exploring the outdoors through hiking, snowboarding, and golfing. You can catch him outside of the office attending local live music shows and, if you’re lucky, you might even catch him at an open mic night!
